Bachelor of science professional pilot VS association of science

Hello all,

I have question about the 4 years pilot degree (120 credits hours0VS 2 year(60 credit hours) pilot degree? which way is better to become an airline pilot ? does the region airline need the B.S degree or only need association degree to hire pilot ?

Please read the FAQ section as there is a detailed post pertaining to this question.

Please review the FAQ section. The regionals don’t need to see a degree. The majors say it’s preferred, but it’s strongly recommended to get one anyway to be competitive. The degree does not need to be in aviation.

Yan,

As the others have said, you don’t need a degree for the Regionals. That said if you’re in school I recommend continuing and starting your flight training after to maintain continuity and momentum. If not training is always better sooner than later.
