Yikes. Could the 737 MAX truly be a mistake? Or is it just hysteria?

Total hysteria. The 737 is a tried and true design. I would be willing to bet that this in not the manufacture’s fault.

Is this really even a question? First the 737 platform is the single most successful commercial design in aviation history. Thousands have been flying for decades and the Max 8 is simply the latest more efficient version. There are currently hundreds of the Max 8’s flying thousands of hours daily. One crashes in a part of the world that has a higher record of accidents and incidents than anywhere else and you’re asking if the design is a mistake? It’s not. I also have yet to see any hysteria?
