I am wondering what types of math and math formulas are used in everyday flying and what I should self study before I begin ATP Flight Training. I want to make myself as prepared as possible before I start flight training. Thanks.
Thomas,
We really do not use much more than addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. If you are good on the basics, you should be fine.

Thomas,
There are some rules of thumb that I use on a daily basis like converting Celsius to Fahrenheit, crosswind component, and heading reciprocals. All only require basic algebra.
Follow these guidelines https://airlinepilot.life/t/what-does-an-atp-student-need-to-do-to-be-successful/10421 in addition to your instructor’s guidelines when you start.
