Should I start studying now?

Hello,

I’m not sure which category to put this in but I’m really wanting to start flight training as soon as I can, however, I’m finishing up my senior year of baseball and getting my bachelors degree in accounting this next semester. I was wondering if I should start studying now and if so, which books should I get and study?

Thank you

Drake,

I wouldn’t. There are tons of books out there but reading without actual flight training presents many concepts that can be difficult to grasp without any reference. Further if you’re going straight to college that means you won’t be flying for another 4yrs and what you learn today will probably be forgotten by then.

I’d wait till your ready to start your training and focus on doing well in college.

Drake,

Wait until you’re within 3 months of training and then take as many of the written tests as possible before the program.

The material is a matter of memorization. This will save you time so you can just focus on training once you start.
