Republic Airlines

So republic airlines takes all the requirements to join them. But with ATP schedule of 8-5 style program. How can I get my 100 hours of night flying.
How realistic is it to get 500 hours of ME Time?
What about 500 cross country time?
All while being a CFI for ATP.

While the majority of ATPs training takes place during the day. Both your Private and Commercial licenses have night flying requirements so obviously ATP has to do some if it’s training at night to accomplish this. You build night time hours during training and then more instructing. It’s pretty much the same for the other requirements as well. Cross country flying only means a flight of 50nm or more. In an airplane that’s easy. Unless you’re only working on takeoffs and landings you’ll do that on most flight. Honestly the 500hrs ME is a little on the high side and I’m surprised Republic requires that? Definitely doable as an ATP instructor but it might take some more time. The rest of the times they state are the ATP mins so I’m wondering if that’s a typo? (50 is the requirement). If it’s not there are other Regionals hiring that require far less.

Derek and Adam,

I recently spoke with them and they definitely don’t require 500 hours of ME time. I wouldn’t worry about it too much, Derek. The program is set up to get you to the regionals.
