As we know the subjects being taught to prepare us for CPL, are something we’ve never studied in school or college. Hence, could you help by generally saying what a person’s strengths should be purely academically. For eg- he/she should be good with math, etc. This would help understand where I stand and what I can improve.

The best attributes that somebody should have is a good work ethic and a desire to do the job right. Beyond an understanding of aerodynamics and simple math skills are of course necessary, but the willingness to work hard is what it really all boils down to.
