Pilot Recruiters / Financing a career

Good Evening, I’ve been following this forum for about a year now, I’m currently active duty for the US Navy and my plans are to get out and pursue a pilot career. I have two questions so hopefully I’ll be able to get an answer. My first question is, how do you get in contact with a regional recruiter? And my second question is does ATP have a financing program, I know my GI Bill won’t cover the flight training so I will be using that for my degree but I’m curious what ways can I go about paying for my flight training? Thank you so much, I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Ravi, a lot of regional airlines have Facebook pages for pilot recruiting as well as sites. See which one interests you and contact them. Also, they frequently list recruitment events on their FB pages or sites. See if there’s one near where you’re stationed and go for a meet and greet. It was very beneficial for me to do that. Decide what is important to you and ask targeted questions to get a feel for a fit with a specific regional: fleet type, domiciles, career pathway programs, speed to upgrade to captain, etc. Best of luck!

Ravi,

As Sergey said FB is great. Also a quick Google search will give you Regional recruiting info (this link will show you who’s where: https://pilotjobs.atpflightschool.com/airline-domiciles/). You can also check this page (https://atpflightschool.com/financing/) for financing info or call ATP for more info when you’re ready.
