New Mesa Airlines Cadet Program

I was looking at Mesa Airlines website and it seems they have created a program with Southern Airways Express that advertises only needing 200-250 hours total to be employed with SAE and begin gaining flight hours and experience that is more beneficial than instructing.
I was just wondering what anyone thought about this program and if that direct experience (for extremely low pay) is more valuable and a a faster way to get to the regional jets?
