Hello all,
Why doesn’t ATP requires students to maintain first class medical certification? Just wondering about that.

Yogev,

ATP requires the students to obtain a first class medical as that is what the airlines are going to want to see. Only a second class is required to be maintained as thetis all the FAA will require for your check rides.

Actually you only need a Third Class for training and checkrides.
