Hello all,
Not a priority question, just interested in knowing your favorite and least favorite part about being an airline pilot. I’m curious to know what each pilot has to say. Again, not a priority question, I understand all of you are very busy.
My favorite part is the view, no corner office view can even begin to compare. I also like flying to different places and getting paid to see the world.
My least favorite part is the amount of time spent on the road. But I feel that the extra days off (when compared to most jobs) makes up for it.
Least favorite: being junior means you get the trips that everyone else bids around which means long days, short rest, maybe a circadian rhythm swap in between.
Tory,
Keeping in mind that you said “doesn’t feel like a job,” leads me to believe that the good outweighs the bad, otherwise you wouldn’t still be doing it. Also, it is better than any other job that confines you to a cubicle on the ground. Thanks for sharing, enjoy flying Tory!
