Real Answers from Real Pilots

Exceeded 12 Years, Now what?

(Derek) #1

Hey guys, Derek here again. So I’ve noticed that on airline pilot central that the pay scale only goes up to 12 years according to their website. I’m just wondering if the pay caps off after 12 years, or does it continue to increase as you hit 15,20,25 years at company. The answer might be quite obvious, but I was just wondering.

Derek,

The pay is capped at whatever year the table stops at for each airline. That being said, most contracts provide annual increases that would not be included in the tables on Airline Pilot Central.

Derek,

You are correct, most pilot contracts max out at 12yrs. As Chris said most contracts will have small % increases each year but when the contracts are negotiated the rates are from year 1-12 only.
