Hey I’m Tim. So I’ve been researching the pilot life and am strongly considering switching careers. I’ve been looking through the site and I’ve seen a lot of threads coming from kids still in high school trying to jump straight into ATP and seeing that the main response is you have to get an associates degree or equivalent work history. Now I don’t have an associates degree so my question is, does the work history have to be in the aviation field? I completed a 4.5 year apprenticeship through carpenters union and am currently a journeyman carpenter. I’m just curious if journeyman certificate is close enough to the equivalent.
