CFI Training options

Hello everyone,

Just a quick question, I was wondering if I do my training at say the Long Island branch, which uses the Archer for single engine training, when it comes time to instruct would I be limited to instructing only at other locations with the Archer, or is it possible to do CFI work with a 172 if I haven’t really flown it during my training. Thanks allot

Kris,

You will be able to instruct at any of ATP’s locations and in any of their aircraft. Part of the instructor standardization program is familiarizing new CFIs with all of the ATP airplane types and making sure that they are comfortable instructing in them.

Thank you for the quick response, that makes sense. Glad to hear it.

Anytime. Keep those questions coming.
