All medical issues must be cleared by an AME (aviation medical examiner). If you have questions about potential problems it’s best you consult one near you. That said I know a number of pilots with asthma so it is possible.

Honestly, I am not sure. Schedule an appointment with a FAA Medical Examiner for a first class medical. They will be able to answer your questions.

It’s not impossible but it will take some time and frustration. Depends on your situation.
Make sure you have a good AME and understand the process.
