Associates Degree or PPL

I am graduating high school in a few months and i look to pursue a career as an airline pilot. i am aware that ATP requires you to have an Associates degree, 60 college credit hours, or equivalent work experience. I am asking if it would be worth it to get my PPL and move onto ATP for my commercial and as a flight instructor earn my bachelors online? Or should I get my associates degree since after all, major airlines require a bachelors, and then to ATP from zero flying time?

Alex,

I recommend going to college after high school and completing your whole four year degree now. It is just easier to go straight through college than it is to do half now, do flight training and then the other half later. I know that you want to get into the air, but there will be plenty of time for that.

That makes sense, thankyou Chris!
