Airline Career Pilot Program vs International Airline Career Pilot Program

Hi, I have both US and Taiwan citizenship. My plan is to get the CFI licenses and work as an instructor for maybe 1 year, then go back to Taiwan for pilot recruitment (which only require 250 hours, but I would like to have more experience to increase my chance). If I don’t make it in Taiwan, I’ll come back to US, build my time, and try to get into a Regional.
So, I would like to know which program suit me best, and also to have more info about difference between International Airline Career Pilot Program and Airline Career Pilot Program. Here are some questions:

  1. I’m aware that Fundamentals of Flight Course is only in International Airline Career Pilot Program. Is “Fundamentals of Flight Course” equal to Ground School?
  2. Is FAA Knowledge Tests’ fee included in Career Pilot Program?
  3. What is the exact cost of iPad courseware? I saw on this page “http://bit.ly/2uRyFIT” that it cost $1100, but on other page “http://bit.ly/2IykaMb” is stated that only cost $190.
  4. Is there any Taiwanese student currently enrolled in ATP?
  5. If I attend Airline Career Pilot Program, can I be trained in part 141?
  6. There is no response on ATP’s Skype account.

Chen,

First and foremost if your goal is to instruct then I recommend the Career Pilot Program vs the International since the former includes all your CFI ratings and a guaranteed instructor position. As for the rest of your questions I’ll try and answer a few but I’m honestly not that familiar with the International program so it’s best to contact ATP (I’ll inquire about the Skype issue).

  1. Yes I believe it is.

  2. Knowledge Test fees are included, examiner checkride fees are not.

  3. I believe it’s the $190. When you click on the $1100 it takes you to the $190. Thinking that’s a typo?

  4. Hello?

  5. No. All ATP training is Part 61.

  6. I’ll see what I can find out.
